How to use worm castings?

• As a soil amendment: Mix worm castings into garden soil or potting soil to improve soil quality. The recommended rate is about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of worm castings per gallon of soil.
• As a top dressing: Sprinkle a layer of worm castings around the base of plants and gently work it into the soil. This can provide a slow-release source of nutrients for the plants.
• As a compost tea: Add about 1 cup of worm castings to a gallon of water and let it steep for 24-48 hours. Then use the compost tea to water plants or as a foliar spray.
• As a seed starter mix: Mix worm castings with coconut coir, vermiculite, or perlite to create a rich and well-draining seed starting mix that can promote healthy seedling growth.
